Purpose and objectives

Purpose

CRE operates as a non-governmental, non-profit and apolitical organization, which identifies, supports and represents independently and equitably the interests of its members. CRE is a non-governmental professional organization, without profit or patrimonial purpose, with the following objectives:

1.

Representing the interests of the institutions of the Romanian energy sector (electricity, gas, oil, water, nuclear, coal, unconventional energies, energy design institutes) in relation to European institutions, other representative international institutions and organizations in the field and especially those based in Brussels.

2.

Information and consultancy in the field of energy, in general and in electricity, gas, oil, water, coal, nuclear, unconventional energies, in particular, by ensuring experience and intelligence in the European market, financial solutions, service management and consultancy services for the development of energy strategies.

3.

Organizing activities in support of the development of cooperation and the integration of the activities of the institutions of the Romanian energy sector in the programs of European structures and institutions.

Objectives

The general objective of CRE is to promote the participation of member institutions, Romanian state and private energy companies in the decision-making process of European institutions, participation in European partnerships, in the funding programs of European institutions and carrying out representation activities in the interest of the institutions of the Romanian energy sector. CRE is a non-profit professional association and has the following objectives:

Promoting the participation of Romanian energy institutions and companies in the decision-making process of European institutions, participating in European partnerships, in the financing programs of European institutions and carrying out representation activities in the interest of the institutions of the Romanian energy sector.

2.

Collecting, analysing and distributing information on the energy sector; supporting members in developing studies in this field, hosting and facilitating contacts between CRE Members and relevant international institutions and organizations.

3.

Studying strategic, political, technical, social, legislative and institutional aspects directly or indirectly related to the energy sector and facilitating CRE members' access to this information.
