Project
The Enhance Europe project introduces an asphalt solar collector system embedded in road pavement to harvest heat from solar radiation. The captured thermal energy can supply nearby buildings with renewable energy, lowering their consumption and operational costs. By reducing pavement surface temperatures, the system also mitigates urban heat island effects without impacting cultural or urban landscapes. Overall, the project supports clean energy integration, sustainable urban development, and data-driven energy management through digital twin platforms.
