CyberSEAS

CyberSEAS

Project

CyberSEAS is a new European Project in the field of Cyber Security, in which the Romanian Energy Center (CRE) is a partner together with its member TRANSELECTRICA. In March 2021, the Project has been accepted for funding by the European Commission (EC) under the H2020 Program.

Coordinator

ENGINEERING - INGEGNERIA INFORMATICA SPA, Italy

Partners

26 organizations involved from - IT, DE, EE, EE, ES, SI, RO, EL, HR.

Duration

The project started on October 1, 2021 and will last 36 months.

Budget

8 million EURO.

Objective

The ambition of the CyberSEAS project is to improve the resilience of energy supply chains by protecting them from disruptions exploiting enhanced interactions and extended stakeholder and consumer engagement models in complex attack scenarios characterized by the presence of legacy systems and increased connectivity of data flows.

Benefits

To achieve these goals, CyberSEAS offers an open and extensible ecosystem of 30 customizable security solutions that efficiently support key activities, and in particular: risk assessment; end-device interaction; secure development and deployment; real-time security monitoring; skills enhancement and awareness; certification, governance and cooperation. CyberSEAS solutions are validated through experimental campaigns consisting of more than 100 attack scenarios, tested in 3 labs before being moved to one of 6 pilot infrastructures in 6 European countries.

Role of CRE

CRE Association will play an important role in the CyberSEAS Project in the following activities: Collaborative assessment of cyber vulnerability and cyber risks in the energy supply chain - WP2, CyberSEAS integrated toolkit for cyber resilient EPES - WP3, Promoting cyber resilient energy supply chain culture - WP8 and From Lab to Market - WP9 (lead).
